A new mixtape show done the old way to start your weekend in NYC

ArthouseAM airs Fridays at 9pm on WPAT 930 AM in NYC — a weekly ephemeral vinyl mixtape celebrating the multicultural, multigenerational power of soul music. Free for anyone in NYC with a radio. No algorithms, no payola, no AI, and no replays online.

ArthouseAM does not engage in social media. Listeners can connect 24/7 through a toll free “no request line” with updates and announcements. While we don’t take requests, we want to hear from you: favorite NYC clubs and tracks (old and new), where you’re listening from, and DJs we should have on the air in the future.

Hosted by Stottle (aka Stottleplex), returning to radio after over three decades, alongside NYC’s iconic DJ Raw Q — both will be spinning monthly sets as well as curating guest DJs from their complimentary networks. Because of the nature of brokered radio time and the pulse of NYC Friday night’s, Raw Q will be programming the 9pm hour with open format 45 DJs and Stottle will oversee the 10pm hour with a focus on House Music and Disco.

Each guest delivers a 45-minute mixtape they’d play if no one else existed but them and the dance floor. We will post the complete tracklist and backstory here in blog form, as well as the opportunity to purchase a 90 min cassette copy of each show with both DJ mixes, limited to 45 public editions.
